I love the idea of this pan and was looking for a nice, deep, fryer. The fryer looks great and the non-stick surface is awesome. However, after only 3 uses on my glass top range with moderate heat, the bottom warped. As soon as heat is applied, the bottom warps and the pans rocks back and forth while cooking. Once cooled, the bottom will mostly flatten... mostly. Again, love the idea of the pan but just can't recommend it because of the ease of warping.

Great pan. I haven't used it for frying, just for big recipes that you'd normally do in a skillet. No-stick coating is great. When washed, it's almost instantaneously dry because water drips right off it. The fact that the handle is one-piece with the pan means there are no rivets to clean around. I use mine on a glass-top range, and have not experienced any rocking/non-flat bottom that another reviewer found. I will concur on the packaging job by Amazon, though. Bad. Do not order this pan with anything else that could damage it. I ordered the Nordic Ware basic skillet at the same time, and that received some marks in its non-stick finish when banging against this fryer pan. There was only a wad of brown paper in the box, which did almost nothing to cushion the contents.

My mom was the recipient of the skillet (with marks...I offered to return it, but she kept it), and she really loves it as well.

This is the perfect all around pan for my family of 5. I've enjoyed using it so much that I gave 3 of them as Christmas gifts! This pan has all of the space you need for cooking everything from Chicken to several ingredient pasta dishes; the pan is large enough to mix everything together right there. It evenly distributes the heat so everything within the pan is equally cooked. I love watching the food cook thru the glass lid. It's an extremely sturdy pan and American made!

I don't fry too often but I did whip up a batch of Southern Fried Chicken and it turned out fabulous. The heavy pan has great heat distribution and browned the chicken perfectly.

I have also used it for pot roast and the pan has pleanty of room to pile in potatoes, carrots, celery and onion. I seared the meat in the pan and then turned the stove down and added in the vegetables to simmer for several hours like a crock pot with no burn spots or sticking to the bottom of the pan.

My pot arrived with the lid on and no protection between the lid and the pot. Additionally it was in an oversized box with just a single piece of brown stuffing paper, so it was banging around during shipment. The pot edges were nicked and scuffed because of this. Whatever dufus packed this shipment should be fired for stupidity, because they obviously didn't give a damn about whether the item would survive shipment or not. C'mon Amazon, you can do a lot better than this, which is an embarrasment! So unfortunately the pot is being returned as damaged during shipment. A big waste of time for all of us.
