I was very excited to see a more affordable line of pans from Allclad, but this one is a total waste of money. It might be OK if you have an electric or glass/ceramic cook top, but on a gas range you have to cook on low or you scorch the sides of your pan. Shape is not very practical for saute, things tended to jump out instead of back to the center like you want them to. Add that to the sides getting too hot, it's more effective as a reduction pan. If you are in the market for a good pan to do a reduction in this is the pan for you! If you are, however, looking for a small saute pan, avoid this one.

This is a great pan all the way around. It has even heat distribution, good weight,elegant look and easy to clean.The even heat and quick heat up is energy saving and insures even cooking and seasoning during the process of food preperation. The only negative is it does not come with a lid and this hurts its overall use and you cannot buy a lid for it. I have cooked eggs, steaks, pork chops and bacon all with perfect results.
