I purchased this stockpot in Aug.2011. In Sept. we hold our annual family salsa making weekend. This pot worked like a charm! We put 2 bushels of tomatoes , onions, peppers, garlic, & seasonings in it. cooked it down & canned 70 77 pints.(Put up almost 600 pints of salsa.) We did not burn a batch. The pot is very sturdy with a thick bottom. It did the job for us & cleaned up very well. A great pot I highly recommend it. It was packaged very well. This is the steal of the century buy this pot if you are looking for something big. It really is as thick as they say. Add your own ball valve and you then have an easier way of dealing with all the liquid you may have there.
