My mom sent these pans for my birthday. I'd had some teflon pans in which the surfaces were scratched and flaking so desperately needed some new cookware.

They heat up quickly. I primarily use the fry pan to scramble eggs. Although the instructions say that you can cook without butter or oil, I use a little olive oil. My mom bought a set and uses the other pans for when she's cooking with water such as boiling eggs or cooking vegetables and liked them for that. She told me she did not care for the fry pan as much as food she cooked stuck. I don't know if she used oil or not. The pans also clean up easily in warm water and dish soap. This 5-piece cookware set seems well-priced for under $100.

Regarding prep, it's fairly simple--there's video demonstrating it on the company website. You put a small amount of vegetable oil on green surface with paper towel, put on medium heat, let smoke, take off burner, let cool completely and wipe down surface with paper towel. You do this about twice a year to take care of pans.

I don't understand the rave reviews for this product because I have not found it to live up to advertisement. For one thing there are multiple versions of the OrGrennic pans avaialable. The ones with the silver rim around the pans are .4 mil thicker then the pans without the silver rims. The thicker pans tend to hold up better. I happen to have both types of pan. In any case after a very few uses on a ceramic or glass top cook surface the fry pans will develop "Sticking Points". This will happen regardless of the amount of oil that is used in the fry pan or the lowering of the tempature of the cook surface. I have returned three pans to a local BB&B store and got clear instructions as to how to preserve the "NON-STICK PROMISE" on the replacements. None of the suggestions have worked. Also the pans tend to warp and will not sit flush on a flat cooking surface. The center point of the pan, where the OrGreenic label is stamped pushes down making the pan have uneven cooking areas. Solution: Very Gently, tap of the bottom of the pan at the OrGreenic Label will correct the problem but only for a short period of time. Also, after using the fry pans for a very short period of time, if you clean the pan, as directed, and hold the pan in sunlight, you can see the dull discolored "Sticking Points". SO, I am still searching for a TRUELY NON-STICK fry pan and unfortunately I have found that the OrGreenic pans are not that. Hope that helps.

I bought this from BB&Bey0nd so I could use the 20% discount card. So I was happy about the deal until I tried to cook things in it that were not supposed to stick.

I did the whole pre-cook prep they recommend on the instructions. Then I tried cooking pancakes in it. THEY STUCK. There was no blowing them off. In fact it was difficult to get them off with the spatula too because they stuck so hard. Same things with eggs. I also tried crepes which either got burned or messed up because they stuck. I bought this hoping for a safe non-stick pan. It might be safe, but it's NOT non-stick. Save your money. Get something else. You will not be happy with these.

I have tried many different brands and types of so-called non-stick cookware. This is by far the most truly non-stick set of pans I've ever owned. We received a single fry pan for Christmas from our daughter and were immediately sold on the product. I bought the set. We use them daily and clean up is a breeze. The only thing I would still like to have is a larger fry pan or wok for doing stir-fry.
