I have MANY good things to say about the Zwilling Truclad pots & pans sets. Having burnt the bottoms right off of a few cheapo pots (partyly the cheap pots fault, partly my inclination to the highest heat settings, something I'm learning not to do....) I knew I wanted a fully clad pot and my husband insisted I get a GOOD set this time. If you're new to pots & pans research (and I did a TON of it before settling on this line) I'll tell you that full lined means that the conductive metal (in this case aluminum) goes all the way up the sides of the pot sandwiched between stainless steel (for looks & in many people opinions health). You'll often hear about a heavy base being an important feature in cookware which it is but this takes it further so it's ALL AROUND for better heat control. The handles are extremely comfortable (compare to All Clad for example where the u-shaped handles dug into the palm of my hand) with just a bit of a dip where your thumb can rest. They are also shaped to stay cool so you don't have to grab a pot holder just to shake the pan a little though this is a little less true for the 6 quart since the handles are so close in. Flared lip makes for easy pouring more crucial than you might think even for your everyday cook. Last but not least they are gorgeous hanging on my pot rack. They do of course need a bit more help with cleaning than your non stick variety but I feel much safer with stainless steel and a little Bar Keepers Friend does a great job restoring their shine.

A note on the price. I shop shop shopped and originally saw this set at the Bay for $1000 but it frequently goes on sale for $500 making Amazon still a better price BUT just before I ordered them I got my Bay Days flyer in and found the set was 70% off so that was now $300 AND if you order through their website you have the option of getting the roasting pan as a free bonus (free shipping too!).

If you want All Clad quality and not the All Clad price, I highly recommend this. Upon reviews, I had purchased Cuisinart Multi-Pro and the French Classic line. I went through 2 sets of each because they came in damaged. Although aesthetically beautiful, they are not well made. Some had dents and scratches. The lids came with metal shavings still on them. The French line says stay cool handles and they do NOT stay cool! I washed one pan and didn't dry it right away and it had rust spots on the bottom the next morning. So, I researched again and found these. The Tru Clad still uses 18/10 stainless steel. This cookware is substantial! It heats evenly and quickly and you truly only have to use low heat. The handles are extremely comfortable and stay cool to the touch. The handles on the lids stay cool as well. When I took them out of the box, not a single scratch or dent. Beautiful. I cooked eggs, yes, eggs right off the bat and they did not stick! I love to be creative when I cook and these fit my needs perfectly. I bought the pieces individually that I needed at a local store and will get more. I was lucky enough to find the pasta insert at TJ Maxx. You will need to use Barkeeper's Friend to clean them up but they come out beautiful every time. When it comes to cookware, I like to buy to last and I want quality! You cannot go wrong with these! Although made in China, Zwilling has their own factory there and high quality control over the products produced.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this 10-piece cookware set. In fact I even purchased another set that didn't work with my induction cooktop. I ended up purchasing this at Bed Bath and Beyond for $299 less 20% for my coupon. J Henkel is running a promotion so when you purchase this set, you also receive one of their 4 piece steak knife sets as a bonus.

These pots and pans are beautiful. They are substantial but not so heavy that they are uncomfortable to pick up. The handles stay cook when in use. There is even scored areas inside the sides of the pots and pans that tell you measurements. They clean up beautifully. In my research I noticed that some induction ready cookware made a hissing sound. This is not noticed with this set by me. I was considered All Clad but frankly, didn't see the necessity in spending twice as much. I am very satisfied with this cookware and highly recommend it.

Honest reviews on TruClad 3-Ply Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

THIS PRODUCT MEETS MY EXPECTATIONS NICELY. I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE HIGH QUALITY OF THIS BRAND AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT HENCKELS HAD EXPANDED ITS LINE TO STAINLESS COOKWARE. IT COOKS FOOD EVENLY AT A LOWER TEMPERATURE AND IS EASY TO CLEAN, ALTHOUGH BEING STAINLESS STEEL IT REQUIRES A LITTLE POLISHING TO KEEP IT SHINY, WHICH IS FINE WITH ME.

Just came back from vacation and received the cookware. Upon opening the box, I noticed there was a handle sticking out of the cookware box. When I opened the cookware box, I looked at the handle of the frying pan and did not notice damage to the handle. However, the frying pan itself had a rough finish to one side. Upon opening the rest of the items, there were several that had some form of rough finish and dents. One of the items had such a rough finish to the edge that you could easily cut your finger on it. It's apparent that the damage to the cookware was not done externally but came defective direct from the factory. Poor quality control. When I ordered this online, it was noted that there was just one set of cookware left. I think this item has been returned before judging by the way it was packed and the box being damaged. I am truly disappointed. This is the first time I have made a purchase through Amazon that I am dissatisfied and unhappy. Also, there was no receipt in the box for any contact information about returning/exchanging this item. They are obviously trying to make it difficult for the customer to return the item because they know this set was defective. When I notified Cooks Warehouse about the problem, the representative responded unprofessionally by saying that he could not believe this and that he had a set himself and has never had a complaint about the cookware even though he did say later that this was the first time they offered this line of cookware and had only ordered one set. Because there was no receipt in the box and no instructions about returns/exchanges I went through Amazon. After a couple of attempts in asking for a return label, I finally received return label via email. To add insult to injury, I had to pay $77.99 to return the merchandise! I paid $399.00 for the cookware plus $77.48 for return shipping. I should not have to pay for return shipping when I received defective merchandise. Then today I received an email from them saying the following "We are contacting you to ensure that your expectations were met for your order with The Cook's Warehouse on Amazon." Cooks Warehouse is dishonest and unprofessional. If Cook Warehouse had been honest and professional in dealing with me from the beginning, I would have just wrote this off as having received defective cookware from the factory and wrote a positive review. But the entire experience in dealing with Cooks Warehouse has been the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience I have encountered in online purchasing. BUYERS BEWARE!
