This is a very nice dutch oven overall. The nonstick surface on the interior is great -virtually nothing sticks and it's very easy to clean. However, there is one fairly major drawback, and that is that the handles get so hot when you're cooking that you can burn yourself badly if you're not prepared for the extreme heat. ALWAYS use potholders or oven mitts when handling this item when it's hot. The handles are not protected or insulated in any way. This is really unfortunate, too, because the overall quality of the pot in all other respects is very good.
