The wood on this board looks nice. But it reacts strangely to water for a cutting board. The grain swirls, so some of it is end grain on the surface, and after the first washing it is fairly rough for a cutting board. Either this is a property of the wood used, or the finish.

I keep this on my stove and use it all the time! It is durable and has even been under hot temps from my flat top stove.

I ordered this hoping for a normal size cutting board. After receiving it, I wanted an immediate refund (and got one). It is about 8-10 inches in diameter and less than one inch thick. It looks very cheesy and is more appropriate for a picnic or tailgate party. I would not recommend for anyone looking for a usable kitchen item
