My son bought a Smore Maker at a garage sale and we couldn't find the fuel anywhere...then we checked Amazon. I ordered a few of them to last us and we've been very happy to use our smore maker!

Firstly, the product packaging I received looked nothing like the photo what in came in looked something like mini paint cans. The product I am assuming is the same (gel fuel) but it was just packaged differently. But, as far as the product itself goes, I wanted it for using in the black mini hibachis I bought from amazon.com before, to make beef-on-a-stick, that I remembered having in a Chinese restaurant many years ago that they brought out with mini hibachis. Since the "cans" were too big to put into my mini hibachi fuel receptable, I just scooped out the gel and put it in there like that, and put a match to it. Then you can "re-heat" your beef on a stick or char it a bit more, right at your dinner table. Now, for the original purpose of this product, I believe you just leave the gel in it's original container and put it under those buffet warmers that have a receptacle to hold these containers in.

I thought I was getting a a tin foil pack with a top that peeled off, but instead I got a metal container with a twist off top. This was apart of a gift for a friend and I was very upset when the piece did not look like what was ordered. Thankfully it works in the fondue set. Due to the false advertising I will NOT be buying anything else from Big Kitchens.

worked well, not too hot for the chocolate or the cheeses, would order again when needed, these are hard to find in stores so this was worth the price

I have never had any other fuel for a smore machine so I don't have any thing to compare it too. But it did what it was supposed to do.
