I sent it back it is pretty and matches the corelle ivy decor well. but is does not pour well, the inside lip of the spout is rolled inward and makes for sloppy pouring, hard to get into teapot. It did not whistle, at all at first, but was only half full, so I tried it again with it full, 2 qts.+ (and the teapot is only 1 qt.) it then made a very low whirring sound, not loud enough to hear if you aren't next to the stove. I looked up the description at the web site it is shipped from, and is does say it makes a different sound, cant remember now, exact phrase.

As everyone has written, this teapot does not pour well. It spills all over. Mine does make noise though. It makes a very interesting sound and it's very loud. I was puzzled the first time I heard it b/c I was expecting a whistle!

I like that it matches, so I'm going to put up with the mess and just pour over the sink. I will not buy another one when this one bites the dust though.

I bought this tea kettle to match my dinnerware. It looks great! But water is spilled everytime we pour! We have to pour over the sink. Something about the construction of the spout makes it almost impossible to pour without spilling. I wouldn't recommend this teapot!

I'm really disappointed in my new Corelle Coordinates Callaway 2-1/5 qt. whistling teakettle. First of all, I can't boil 2 quarts of water without it boiling over. I frequently wish to boil just 2 quarts to make iced tea for my family or church events. When I do boil water and try to pour it out, it runs back and makes a mess on my kitchen counter or on the table. If I leave the lever down over the spout while it boils, I have to use a potholder to lift it to be able to pour the water out. The noise it makes when the water boils is not a "whistle", but a low rumble. I do like the outside design. Right now I'm shopping for a new teakettle and it won't be a Corelle brand.

This teakettle is very pretty but that's not much good when hot water is splattering out when you try to pour it.

Pour spout design.

I had thrown out the box & packaging so I can't return it.

I'm keeping it to use as a flower pot on the windowsill.
